Fall Cider & Beer Events in Durham, NC

As summer turns to fall and the leaves begin their color transformation, Durham comes alive with cider and craft beer events.

Starting September 30th, Bull City Ciderworks will host its first annual Bull City CiderJAM from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on South Roxboro Street in Downtown Durham.  Food trucks, live music and a pie-eating contest are just a small portion of the fun that will be paired with the Cardinal Cin Bottle Release.  All Bull City ciders are made with 100% apple juice, yeast cultures, and local ingredients (hops, honey, fruit) and are gluten-free.

In mid-October, the 22nd Annual World Beer Festival Durham will take place Saturday, October 14th with the first session from Noon to 4 p.m. and the second session from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. You must be 21+ to attend.

November brings to Durham the distinction of being the host of the culminating event for the First Annual Cider Fest NC.  From November 12th – 18th, the NC Cider Association celebrates the ciders of NC for one week throughout North Carolina. Durham’s Black Twig Cider House off Erwin Road will host Txotxfest, which is its annual cider festival, on Saturday, November 18th, Noon to 4 p.m. This cider celebration will feature fabulous ciders, spectacular vendors, chefs and culinary artisans.
