Celebrate Saturday Morning at the Durham Farmer’s Market

If you head to downtown Durham on a Saturday morning you may notice a steady stream of folks heading in the direction of Durham Central Park. They may be on foot or bike, leading kids or pets, but all will be looking forward to what has become something of a celebration every Saturday morning. Indeed the Durham Farmers’ Market has blossomed into an event to look forward to every Saturday from 8:00 to noon. Here you’ll find all the delicious bounty of our local farms and tasty products from some of Durham’s best restaurants and breweries, like Scratch Bakery and Fullsteam Brewery.

While Durham is certainly known for its food (we haven’t forgotten about the honor of being named the Tastiest Town in the South) the Farmers Market also celebrates the artists of Durham, who are featured in the Craft Market. There you can purchase all manner of unique and beautiful arts and crafts created with love right here in the Bull City. It’s the perfect place to pick up a delightful souvenir that you can’t find anywhere else.

And if you’ve managed to work off the delicious breakfast Chef Phil prepared for you at our Durham bed and breakfast, you’re in luck! You’ll have a wide variety of food trucks and vendors to choose from. For your next trip to Durham plan on heading downtown Saturday morning to celebrate the bounty and beauty of Durham at the Farmers’ Market.
