Things to do in Raleigh

1. The North Carolina Museum of Art is much more than just a gallery. In addition to an impressive permanent collection and rotating exhibitions, the museum includes a 164-acre park filled with trails and large-scale outdoor sculptures, which you can enjoy during your afternoon in Raleigh. 
2. Catch a Show at Red Hat Amphitheater, an open-air venue that brings in big-name musicians and artists all season long. It’s a favorite for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy live music and one of the top things to do in the Triangle. 
3. Foodies will want to carve out some time for the Morgan Street Food Hall. It’s a lively, communal space packed with local vendors serving everything from sushi burritos to gourmet grilled cheese. Great spot for lunch, happy hour, or late-night snacks.
4. Walk Around Historic Oakwood, a beautiful 19th-century neighborhood full of restored Victorian homes, gardens, and a peaceful cemetery with roots that go back to the Civil War.

Things to do in Chapel Hill

1. Franklin Street is the heartbeat of Chapel Hill. This iconic stretch is lined with bookstores, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants, making it one of our favorite places to explore in the Triangle. It’s perfect for people-watching, grabbing a bite, or browsing for UNC merch (even if you’re just here for the vibes).
2. Visit the Ackland Art Museum, which features a strong mix of global art—from Asian sculpture to contemporary American pieces. Admission is free, and the museum is small enough to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed.
3. Tour the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Even if you’re not a Tar Heel, the historic campus is worth a walk. Don’t miss the Old Well, the Bell Tower, and the Carolina Basketball Museum for a quick but fun crash course in college sports history.
4. Catch a show with Carolina Performing Arts at Memorial Hall. 9. Hike or Bike Carolina North Forest. Just minutes from downtown, this wooded preserve has a wide network of trails that are great for running, mountain biking, or just clearing your head. It’s an easy way to escape without leaving town.
